Mortgage Loan Officer (Licensed)

Location: Frisco, TX | Fully Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Approximately $50,000 annual base salary plus uncapped tiered commission (negotiable based on experience)

• Commission-only option available with recoverable draw

• Full-Time | Direct Hire with the client

ROLE IMPACT

This opportunity is designed for a Mortgage Loan Officer who enjoys building relationships just as much as closing loans. Rather than relying on company-generated leads, you'll grow your own referral-based business while leveraging the resources of an established community bank known for its broad product offerings and responsive operations.

You'll work alongside experienced mortgage professionals while utilizing in-house processing, underwriting, and closing teams that allow you to spend more time building your pipeline and less time managing operational delays. Success is measured by consistent mortgage production, long-term referral partnerships, and providing borrowers with an exceptional lending experience from application through closing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain referral relationships with Realtors, builders, financial advisors, investors, and other community partners.

• Generate new mortgage business through networking, prospecting, relationship management, and community involvement.

• Consult with borrowers to understand their financing goals and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.

• Originate residential mortgage loans while ensuring compliance with all applicable lending guidelines.

• Guide borrowers through every stage of the mortgage process, from application through closing.

• Work closely with processors, underwriters, and closing teams to ensure timely, accurate loan closings.

• Maintain regular communication with referral partners to strengthen long-term business relationships.

• Utilize the bank's diverse portfolio of lending products to provide customized financing solutions.

• Maintain accurate pipeline records and proactively manage follow-up activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license with the ability to originate loans in Texas.

• Recent residential mortgage origination experience.

• Demonstrated success developing business through Realtor, builder, or referral relationships.

• Proven ability to self-source mortgage opportunities.

• Strong understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, HELOC, and residential lending products.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills.

• Comfortable working in a fully onsite, relationship-focused banking environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Existing network of Realtors, builders, and referral partners throughout North Texas.

• Experience with Construction, Jumbo, or portfolio loan products.

• History of consistently funding 2–5 or more loans per month.

• Community bank or retail mortgage lending experience.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
