Mortgage Loan Officer

Reports to: Director of Mortgage Loan Operations

We're seeking an experienced and driven Mortgage Loan Officer to grow and manage a high-quality residential mortgage portfolio. This role focuses on building strong customer and referral relationships while delivering outstanding service and cross‑selling valuable bank products.

What You'll Do

• Originate residential first mortgages (secondary market and portfolio)
• Originate HELOCs and second mortgage loans
• Develop new business through referrals, officer calls, and community involvement
• Support loan processing, underwriting, funding, and servicing as needed
• Approve loans within delegated authority
• Maintain borrower financial information and action plans
• Cross-sell deposit and fee-based bank products
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies and state/federal regulations
• Prepare activity and management reports

What We're Looking For

• Strong mortgage origination experience
• Solid understanding of TRID and regulatory requirements
• Proven relationship‑building and sales skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
