About the Opportunity We are recruiting for an established, community-focused financial institution seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to help grow its residential lending presence throughout New Jersey. This is a great opportunity for an MLO who enjoys building relationships, developing new businesses, and helping individuals and families navigate the homebuying process.

Responsibilities
Originate residential mortgage loans throughout the New Jersey market
Consult with borrowers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate financing options
Guide borrowers through the mortgage process from initial qualification through closing
Build relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and other referral partners
Generate new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement
Educate borrowers on FHA, VA, conventional, first-time homebuyer, and other mortgage programs
Support first-time and low-to-moderate-income homebuyers in identifying appropriate financing options
Maintain communication with borrowers and referral partners throughout the loan process
Stay current on residential lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Work toward consistent monthly loan production goals

Qualifications
Current NMLS license with the ability to originate mortgages in New Jersey required
Previous residential mortgage origination or lending experience
Experience with FHA, VA, and first-time homebuyer programs strongly preferred
Knowledge of residential mortgage products and the loan origination process
Strong sales, networking, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable developing new business and building referral relationships
Strong communication and customer service skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently throughout the market
Strong organizational and time-management skills
