Job description

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to plant your flag with a well-established federally chartered, community-rooted mortgage bank that gives outside originators the tools, products, and back-office support to compete — and win — in today's purchase-driven market. If you've built a referral network and want a platform that won't slow you down, this role was designed for you. You'll own your pipeline, work your market, and keep the relationships you've spent years earning.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of residential mortgage business through referral partnerships with real estate agents, builders, financial planners, CPAs, and other centers of influence

  • Originate conforming, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and portfolio loan products tailored to each borrower's financial profile

  • Conduct needs-based consultations with prospective borrowers to evaluate loan options, explain program guidelines, and set clear expectations from application through closing

  • Partner closely with processors, underwriters, and closers to move loans efficiently and protect pull-through rates

  • Represent the company's brand in your local market through networking events, open houses, realtor office visits, and community engagement

  • Stay current on agency guidelines, state regulatory requirements, and market conditions to serve as a trusted advisor to both borrowers and referral partners

  • Maintain full compliance with RESPA, TILA, SAFE Act requirements, and all applicable Texas licensing regulations

Why This Opportunity

This lender operates with a community-bank mindset but carries the product depth and operational firepower you'd expect from a much larger shop — meaning you can close complex deals without hitting a ceiling on what you can offer borrowers. The culture values originators who take ownership and rewards that independence with responsive processing, fast turn times, and leadership that actually picks up the phone. If you're tired of feeling like a number at a big-box lender, this environment will feel like a completely different career.
