SUMMARY:
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for administering the mortgage loan processing function, reviewing mortgage loan files for accuracy and completeness, and assisting the loan officer in all loan related duties.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Time: Description:
25% Review mortgage loan files and verify the application data including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment. Ensure this information meets established standards.
25% Prepare loans for underwriting by analyzing income and debts. Informs supervisor of discrepancies in title or survey.
5% Obtain appraisal reports on properties that have been submitted for mortgage loan financing.
25% Submit mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval.
15% Obtain and submit loan conditions to underwriter.
5% Submit approved mortgage loan files to Closing for settlement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED with 4 years mortgage loan processing experience with Conventional, FHA, USDA and VA loans or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
