    Description

    The Mortgage Market Sales Lead serves as a senior producing Mortgage Loan Officer and market-level sales leader. This role is responsible for driving personal mortgage production while providing functional leadership, coaching, and market support to Mortgage Loan Officers within the assigned market. The position actively supports sales growth, relationship development, and operational excellence while serving as a key liaison between individual contributors and market management.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Produce mortgage loans by actively marketing Credit Union mortgage products within Idaho Central's geographical field of membership.
    • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with real estate agents, builders, business partners, and referral networks to boost market presence.
    • Serve as a subject-matter resource and sales leader to assigned team of Mortgage Loan Officers.
    • Handle mortgage applications and manage all communication throughout the loan process.
    • Increase mortgage loan business through sales and relationship development with members and partners.
    • Manage the loan process from application to closing while promoting and cross selling additional credit union products and services.
    • Perform pre-approval analysis including income, assets, tax returns, credit reports, and AUS findings.
    • Structure onboarding and coaching of Mortgage Loan Officers.
    • Support training on Loan Origination Systems and Encompass best practices.
    • Lead local mortgage sales teams to meet monthly and annual goals with a focus on coaching and application process management.
    • Emphasize leadership, training, community engagement, and service excellence.
    • Attend loan closings as needed.
    • Represent mortgage initiatives and support market-level sales strategies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Demonstrated success in mortgage sales with strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence without direct authority. Must be able to maintain NMLS registration.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, such as processing paperwork, typing, filing, and handling cash.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as required by job duties.
    • Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 20-40 pounds (e.g., copy paper, cash drawers, marketing materials).
    • Frequent repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers (e.g., typing, data entry).
    • Ability to reach and operate keyboards and other standard office equipment.
    • Operate basic office machines and technology, including computers, calculators, telephones, and multifunction printers.
