Description
Position Purpose and Objectives
Under limited supervision, this role will support the mortgage loan originating system (LOS) effectiveness and operating efficiency by maintaining various system components, serving as system administrator, routine review of configuration and usage as well as being a point of contact for general technical questions. The role will be responsible for supporting the mortgage team through a variety of means including but not limited to operational issues, creating and/or maintaining procedures and system guides, testing, training, creating routine and/or ad hoc reports, requests for enhancements and/or break fixes, system releases, and providing a high degree of knowledge regarding system applications and industry compliance. The Mortgage System Analyst will collaborate directly with end-users, business partners and/or impacted stakeholders, vendors, and the business analyst to identify opportunities for process improvements, provide support in researching system issues and testing changes or enhancements.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
Knowledge of Texans' mortgage lending products, rules and services; Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize work to meet project deadlines. Experience working with and drafting requirements for application developers. Highly detailed and organized. Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills; advanced computer and typing skills; good time management skills; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers (usually internal staff), regulatory agencies, third-party vendors, etc.; ability to use a computer to create clear and concise written communications, including: emails, letters, internal documentation (project scope, work flow diagrams, instructions, project steps, references, etc.) and respond to external documentation requests (ex. vendor scope/business requirements); ability to effectively communicate verbally, including: one-on-one conversations, team meetings, presentations and demonstrations
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, related field or equivalent working experience required.
