Position Summary:
This position supports the MOSAIC Center programs and the strategic operation of the Office of Student Affairs. The MOSAIC Center Student Assistant aids the Manager for Engagement & Belonging in the conceptualization, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluation of the various programs in the MOSAIC Center. This position requires the ability to use various styles, techniques, and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture, background, race, religion, ability, sex, and familial status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
Gather information from the campus community to determine themes for art displays, cultural celebrations, Beyond Strangers, and Courageous Conversations events.
Assist in planning how events will unfold as well as date, time, and locations.
Help make flyers and other advertisements as well as informing diverse student groups of the event.
Assist with the logistics the day of the event.
Gather and analyze the feedback for the event to give recommendations for future events.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Desired Qualifications
Experience organizing and implementing events a plus
Past experience creating visuals with the intent of informing an audience a plus
Work Schedule
10 hours per week during normal business hours, and flexible around class schedules
