    Aerospace Applications Engineer - Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices - Seattle Area - Contract

    Our Client in the Seattle area is a leading provider of Innovative Motion Control Motors and other Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices for the aerospace industry. They are currently seeking an Aerospace Applications Engineer for a contract position that is likely to last 6 months or longer.

    JOB DESCRIPTION -

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years' experience experience with developing a product from concept to production the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control /motor products such as electro-mechanical actuation devices for demanding aerospace applications is preferred
    • Some experience with FEA desired.
    • Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical sensors.
    • Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO Standards.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
    • Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
    • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
    • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
    • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
    • Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
    • Self-motivated and highly organized
    • Proficient in 3D CAD Solidworks modelling
