Description The Department of Facilities and Construction Management at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Motor Coach Operator/Driver. Motor Coach Operator/Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers using a motor coach or similar vehicle.
Examples of Duties Operate all University vehicles safely and efficiently, following specific regularly scheduled routes, charter routes and respond to request from dispatch or management for unscheduled pickups or drop-offs. Use correct safety procedures to operate lift, secure wheelchair and other assistive devices. Make timely reports of accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences. Must comply with all provisions of Mississippi Department of Transportation regulations. Must be able to work flexible hours and perform other expanded and/or related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two (2) years motor coach, school bus or large vehicle experience Must possess a valid Class "B" or Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age with a satisfactory driving record
