Job Duties
The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Field Representative to support the administration and enforcement of Virginia's Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing Laws and Advertising Rules and Regulations. This position ensures compliance among franchised and independent motor vehicle dealers throughout the Norfolk and Virginia Beach region.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of new and existing motor vehicle dealerships within assigned cities, counties, and towns.
Provide clear guidance to dealers regarding Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing Laws and Advertising Rules and Regulations.
Investigate consumer complaints and issues identified during inspections, ensuring thorough documentation and follow‑up.
Issue verbal or written warnings, violation notices, or initiate hearing requests based on investigative findings.
Serve as an agency witness during administrative hearings, presenting findings and supporting regulatory enforcement actions.
