Job Summary: The Motor Vehicle Operator operates a variety of motor vehicles in order to transport and deliver boxes, pallets, and carts of medical supplies, records, materials, and mail monetary deposits from the Warehouse to both on and off State property.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Load trucks based on daily delivery route • Unload carts and pallets at Receiving Dock to deliver to other buildings • Direct delivery of goods to customers including two hospitals and 48 outlying buildings affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical University • Tending to routine vehicle maintenance such as: add fluids as necessary, washing vehicles, pumping gas • Other duties include keeping dock bays clean and free of garbage and debris, help put away stock, and cycle counting inventory

Requirements: Must be able to bend, climb, and properly lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and carry crates, boxes, and other cargo on and off motor vehicles. Excellent customer service skills needed. Must possess and maintain a valid NYS drivers license.

Minimum Qualifications: A valid NYS Drivers License is required.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with manual and mechanical forklifts preferred • CDL and 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred

Work Details: Work Days: Schedule based on 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM
