Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements for Paraprofessionals:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of direct support experience, preferably within an educational or classroom-based setting.

Education & Experience Requirements for Teacher Assistant:

  • Associates degree in a related field or 60 college credits required.

  • NJDOE substitute teacher's certification required.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of direct support experience, preferably within an educational or classroom-based setting.

Education & Experience Requirements for Special Education Teacher:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree
  • Hold a CE, CEAS or Standard License in "NJ K-6 or K-8"
  • Hold a CE, CEAS or Standard License in "NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD)" or "Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)"

All Compassionate Team Members Must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a current, non-provisional, non-probationary driver's license in good standing
