Creative Business Innovations is seeking an experienced MP&L Supervisor (Materials Planning & Logistics) for our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier supporting Honda production operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient logistics operations to support production schedules in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in materials planning, warehouse operations, inventory control, and production support within a Tier 1 automotive or manufacturing facility. Position Overview The MP&L Supervisor is responsible for managing the flow of materials from suppliers through warehouse operations and into production, ensuring that all materials are available to support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing requirements. This role will supervise warehouse personnel, material handlers, and logistics operations, while coordinating closely with purchasing, production, scheduling, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily materials planning, logistics, and warehouse operations Ensure continuous material flow to production lines Manage inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments Oversee receiving, storage, and line-side material delivery Support production scheduling and material availability Identify and resolve material shortages or supply disruptions Maintain accurate information within ERP/MRP systems Lead and develop warehouse and logistics team members Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred 3–5+ years of experience in Materials Planning, Logistics, or Warehouse Supervision Experience in automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment strongly preferred Knowledge of inventory control, production support logistics, and material flow Experience with ERP / MRP systems Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
