    Job Summary:

    The MQ-9 Launch and Recovery Pilot will support deployed aviation operations.

    *Onsite, Philippines

     

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of MQ-9 aircraft for launch and recovery efforts.
    • Coordinate and actively participate in RPA ground and flight operations efforts; including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management, and safety.
    • Define, plan, organize, and execute flight plans and schedules. Review maintenance logs, weather reports, and forecasts.
    • Use Technical Orders, other documents, and reports to ascertain factors; such as aircraft weight and balance, fuel supply, route, schedule, and mechanical reliability.
    • Available to conduct 24/7 operations without scheduling restrictions
    • Maintain ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites.

    Required Qualifications:

    • MQ-9 Pilot with AF Form 8, LRE Qualified
    • 550 MQ-9 flight hours
    • Last flight within 12 months
    • Must possess/be able to obtain FAA Class II physical
    • Must possess/be able to obtain a US passport
    • Deploy for at least six (6) months each year
    • Maintaining a DoD Security Clearance is required
    • Prior DoD pilot training, specifically the USAF’s Undergraduate Pilot Training, or USA, USN, USMC, or USCG equivalent fixed wing training program

    Or

    • Initial Formal Training Upgrade (IFTU) training in the MQ-9 via the 18X pipeline or the following FAA certificate/rating: Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Airplane Category Rating and Instrument-Airplane Rating


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MQ-9 Launch and Recovery Instructor/Evaluator Pilot experience
    • 1,000 MQ-9 flight hours
    • Last flight within 180 days

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to lift 40 pounds and carry without assistance
    • OCONUS travel will be required
