Position Overview
The Operations Supervisor provides on‑site leadership at a high‑volume Materials Recovery Facility. Responsibilities include maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable production by overseeing personnel, equipment, and material flow.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise hourly employees across assigned shifts
• Monitor equipment performance, material flow, and production quality
• Enforce safety standards and respond to incidents
• Manage staffing levels, break schedules, and rotation plans
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and minimize downtime
• Communicate shift performance and key issues to management
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, recycling, or similar fields
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong safety awareness and decision‑making ability
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment
• Preferred: MRF or recycling facility experience; bilingual English/Spanish
• Preferred: 2+ years operating light to heavy equipment
