Location: Carmel, IN

Hospital: Ascension, St. Vincent Carmel Hospital

Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Schedule: PRN

How you'll make an impact in this role:

 

  • Precise Imaging: Operate scanners to produce high-quality cross-sectional images by accurately positioning patients and selecting optimal technical parameters.
  • Patient Support: Manage patient pre-screening, scheduling, and clear education to ensure a smooth, informed experience.
  • Data & Image Integrity: Process patient data, manage image transfer, and ensure prompt, accurate submission of all high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all radiation safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a safe environment for all.
  • Operational Readiness: Monitor equipment function, report malfunctions, and assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
