Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI (SLMC) 53215
Job Type: Contract | Onsite

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a high-volume, Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced MRI procedures and experience working with diverse patient populations, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans across a wide range of studies including neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, cardiac, and whole-body imaging
  • Work with patients requiring special care, including ventilated, sedated, and implantable device cases
  • Ensure patient safety, positioning, and comfort throughout imaging procedures
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring quality and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with radiologists and care teams for accurate diagnostic imaging
  • Document procedures accurately using EMR and PACS systems

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of MRI experience in a hospital/clinical setting
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification – required
  • BLS certification – required
  • Strong experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases
  • Experience using Siemens and GE MRI scanners
  • Proficiency with EPIC and PACS systems (McKesson preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Breast MRI, Breast MRI Biopsy, and Cardiac MRI
  • Experience working in a high-volume or trauma center environment

  • Siemens Aera & Siemens Magnetom Skyra
  • EPIC EMR (Required)
  • McKesson PACS (Required)

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • MRI department with 6 scanners (5 operational)
  • No floating – MRI department only
  • Orientation: 3 days
  • Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend (max)
  • On-call: Weekend nights + rotating backup (30-minute response time)
  • Holiday work based on unit needs

Additional Notes:  Shift 8hr Evening Shift (32) Shift Information Monday-Thursday 2pm-1030pm SimpliFi Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No yes On Call, Call Back Requirements The first shift backup is a weekly rotating responsibility, with each person typically assigned 1–2 backup on-call mornings per week from 6:30am-2:30pm. These shifts are only utilized if a first-shift staff member is unable to work and the volume cannot be absorbed by the team. Weekend call occurs approximately once every 8 weeks. This runs from 06:30 Saturday through 05:30 Monday, and includes an on-site Saturday shift (usually 07:30–16:00). A compensatory weekday off is provided. Weekend Rotation Weekend call occurs approximately once every 8 weeks. This runs from 06:30 Saturday through 05:30 Monday, and includes an on-site Saturday shift (usually 07:30–16:00).
