Position at Danbury Hospital

Summary:

Providing quality care and using MRI technical skills to meet patient expectations.

Responsibilities:

 

  • MRI Safety Screening:  Completes appropriate screening of customers by following departmental procedures and obtaining pertinent documentation.  20%
  • IV contrast administration:  Performs venipuncture for contrast administration and then operates power injectors following departmental guidelines for appropriate injection. 10%
  • Image Acquisition:  Reviews prescription and protocol for appropriateness. Chooses required coils and accessories when positioning patients. 20%
  • Cerner:  Uses Cerner RIS to Fuji Pacs to start, complete and finish studies. Checking that all appropriate images are available to the radiologist for viewing. 20%
  • Siemens Scanner:  Performs all procedures on a Siemens Espree 1.5 open bore magnet. 20%
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 10%

 

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
* Radiographer
  • Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years MRI experience
  • Accredited in MRI with the ARRT
  • CT state license
