Target hiring range for this position will be between $45.49-$53.32 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
The per diem MRI Technician manages operations of MRI scanners on an as needed basis. Responsible for all aspects related to MRI scanning including, performing scans, archiving studies, post-processing of images and archiving and maintaining imaging data. The per diem technician will assist remotely with scheduling and billing of MRI scanners.
Please note: This position would primarily be remote, with the potential for 1- 2 days per month in person potentially including weekend days.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Manages operations of MRI scanners. • Responsible for all aspects related to MRI safety and MRI scanning including performing scans, archiving studies, post-processing of images and archiving and maintaining imaging data. • MR safety training will be provided by MR technician. • Observing operations of people in the imaging center and those with credentials to scan on their own is part of the position to maintain safety and the best quality data.
Administration:
• Manages billing for NeuroCTI • Assists with scheduling including advanced bookings • Ensures that information is entered correctly into databases • Assists PI in reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, formatting, editing, and preparing tables, charts, graphs, progress and final reports, etc. • Coordinates between sponsoring agencies, collaboration organizations and/or other research and/or educational institutions • Ensures research regulations are adhered to, ACUC approvals in place, material transfer agreements properly executed, and that radiation and lab safety requirements are up to date and implemented • Compile information for CTI leadership • Supervision: • Trains, directs, assigns duties to & supervises other staff and students • Provides instruction to lab users on technically complex procedures, equipment & instruments • Train and certify users for independent human and phantom MR scanning • Train users on facility policies and MRI safety

• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelors or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in MRI scanning. Experience with MR data collection and image post processing is required. Board Certified MRI Basic Life Support Certified IDNS certified
