Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Shift: Night (12:00 AM 8:00 AM)

Job Description:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in an acute care setting. This role requires expertise in operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing accurate diagnostic images. The technologist must be proficient with Client equipment and have experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment. EPIC training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring optimal image quality
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnostics
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement activities
  • Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care setting
  • Experience with Client MRI equipment required
  • Valid NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist license required
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current MRI certification through ARRT or ARMRIT required
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Experience with EPIC EHR preferred
