Location:Manhattan, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Local Rate: $60 – $70/hour (based on experience)
Travel Rate: $78 – $90/hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced MRI equipment. The ideal candidate will apply technical expertise and clinical judgment to ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
Position patients and coils to obtain optimal imaging results
Educate patients on procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI procedures
Ensure all images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat scans if necessary
Document and complete studies in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and exam rooms
Monitor and manage supplies and accessories required for procedures
Assist physicians during imaging procedures as needed
Schedule and track patient exams within the system
Adhere to MRI safety standards, preventing introduction of ferromagnetic materials
Follow infection control policies and safety protocols
Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions promptly
Participate in continuing education and departmental meetings
Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology (Required)
ARRT MRI Certification (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Strong knowledge of:
Cross-sectional anatomy
MRI physics
Patient positioning techniques
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or hospital environment
