Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading regional teaching hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care MRI experience, proficiency with multiple imaging systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment serving patients across all age groups.
Shift Details
- Day Shift – 3x12s
- Schedule: Friday / Saturday / Sunday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures in acute care and outpatient settings
- Conduct imaging studies including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, spine, and musculoskeletal exams with and without contrast
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs
- Ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety standards
- Operate MRI equipment and PACS systems efficiently
- Follow isolation precautions and department safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care
- Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed per facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
- Active SCQRSA License required
- ARRT (MR) Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience required
- Experience with Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems preferred
- Must be comfortable working with patients of all age groups from neonates to older adults
- First-time travelers not accepted
