Responsibilities/Job Description:

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This is a .9 FTE Baylor (work 48 hours per 2 weeks, get paid for 72) position that will work every Friday and Saturday from 6PM - 6:30AM.

 

The MRI Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

 

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient care
  • Performs examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Communicate and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the procedure
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Ensures patient data integrity
  • Accurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
  • Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
  • Participates as an active team member
  • Orients and mentors’ new employees and students
  • Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
  • Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
  • Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.


Required Qualifications

  • ARRT Radiology Tech ARRT Registration or registry eligible with successful completion within 90 Days
  • Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience as a technologist
  • MRI certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs

 

Qualifications:

$41.22- $58.19 Hourly
