Wages: Starting wage $45.12 depending on experience, education and internal equity of current employees; this shift also receives shift premiums of an additional $4 - $10/hour not included in base hourly rate.

Job Description:
The MRI Technologist operates 1.5T and 3.0T MRI equipment to produce detailed images of internal body structures by carefully positioning patients, administering contrast dye when necessary, and following physician orders to generate diagnostic images for medical analysis; essentially playing a critical role in patient care by ensuring proper imaging procedures while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. Our MRI technologists can work in various clinical environments, such as hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, mobile MRI units, or physicians' offices.
Essential Duties:
This position requires regular reliable attendance and requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, knowledge, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
This position requires licensure by the State and/or certification by ARRT/ASRT and must abide by OBMI's Scope of Practice (see below) and ARRT/ASRT's Scope of Practice and Ethical Guidance (see respective websites).
"OBMI defines the scope of practice in medical imaging as the use of ionizing radiation, ultrasound, radio waves, or magnetic fields upon human anatomy for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. This includes the physical position of the patient, determination of exposure parameters, handling of ionizing radiation equipment, and workplace conduct. The OBMI requires that all medical imaging professionals have an active Medical Imaging License or Limited Permit to legally perform any type of medica imaging in any modality. Compliance with this law is mandatory, and failure to do so may result in civil penalties and a permanent record of disciplinary action against a Licensee or Permit holder."
Education and Experience:
Required: ARRT, CPR and OBMI License.
Preferred: 2 years MRI and GE Experience
