Location: Chicago, IL

Facility: Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital

Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging 

Schedule: Day shift | Full-time | Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. 

Salary: $40.51 - $56.45 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced equipment to produce high-quality images for clinical evaluation.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately while selecting appropriate technical parameters and ensuring patient safety.
  • Conduct patient screening, scheduling, and education; maintain accurate records and manage imaging data in PACS.
  • Ensure image quality and compliance with radiation safety standards; monitor equipment and report issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and participate in on-call rotation with weekday and weekend shifts. Shifts are usually 8am-6:30pm during the week, 6:30am-6:30pm on the weekends.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification, BLS
