Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist (Work schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7a.m. to 7p.m. - No call required)

 Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals.  We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

 As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment
  • Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
  • Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s)
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

  • Registered by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (MR)
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health - CRT
  • 1 year previous experience as a MRI Tech (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical skills
