    Position Overview

    • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
    • Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
    • Explain procedures and provide patient education to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
    • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
    • Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Monitor patient condition during MRI procedures and respond to emergencies as needed.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the RIS/PACS system.
    • Ensure MRI equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs.
    • Follow infection control and MRI safety guidelines.
    • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education programs.

    Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Must be ARRT registered in good standing
    • Experience with GE and Siemens magnets preferred
    • One or more years of MRI experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills
