Job Description

Job Title: MRI Technologist I
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Duration: 13 weeks (Aug 3, 2026 – Oct 31, 2026)
Shift/Schedule: Days; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Some on-call hours required each month.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized MRI imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients under general supervision.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures and verify clinical history with physician orders.
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to provide patient-centered care.
  • Review completed procedures to ensure image quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and technical data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician interpretation.
  • Perform equipment quality control, cleaning, disinfection, and routine user maintenance.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited cardiovascular program orJRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for MRI Certification and obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Must have pediatric MRI experience.
  • Knowledge of MRI imaging principles, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient positioning.
  • Ability to operate MRI equipment, perform image post-processing, and complete technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, confidentiality, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work with minimal supervision.

Preferences:

  • Philips MRI experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • MRI Certification eligibility at time of hire.
