MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks
Pay:
Local Rate: $2,350 – $2,500 Weekly
Travel Rate: $2,800 – $3,000 Weekly
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM | 40 Hours Weekly
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong MRI technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience working with advanced MRI equipment.
• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Screen patients for MRI safety contraindications and ensure compliance with MRI safety standards.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and imaging expectations.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Associate Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
• Current ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital environment.
• Experience with GE MRI equipment.
• BLS Certification.
• Previous experience using EPIC.
