Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists to support the Long Beach VA Health Care System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. MRI Technologists shall operate a super conductive MRI machine, which is a highly complex computerized imaging device that employs the use of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to acquire images of the entire body, including the brain, neck, spine, chest, body, and extremities. Available shift schedules include days, evenings, and nights. Pay Range: $62 - $67.09 hourly

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate MRI equipment (1.5T or 3.0T scanners) to perform complex diagnostic MRI exams of the brain, spine, chest, body, and extremities
  • Practice and enforce MRI safety protocols and national quality standards
  • Receive patients, explain procedures, and properly position patients
  • Select technical parameters and operate superconductive MRI systems
  • Prepare MRI suites with required sterile supplies, contrast materials, and equipment
  • Administer IV contrast under radiologist supervision
  • Perform post‑processing, image archiving, and case editing
  • Send images to PACS and maintain records using Radiology VistA and CPRS
  • Perform related clerical and documentation duties

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience on MRI equipment similar to VALBHS (GE 1.5T or 3.0T), OR 1 year MRI experience without GE experience
  • Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certification
  • Experience with IV starts and contrast injections (IV cert preferred)
  • Current BLS certification
  • No sponsorship available 

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
