Job Title: MRI Technologist (MRI Tech)
Location: Columbia, SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12s (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Hours: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to support a high-volume acute care facility in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of MRI examinations across inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining high standards of patient safety, image quality, and clinical efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations including head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal, and trauma imaging with and without contrast
- Administer contrast media and initiate peripheral IVs as required
- Operate MRI scanners and PACS systems safely and efficiently
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including isolation precautions
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care across all patient populations (neonates to geriatrics)
- Float to other units or campuses based on operational needs and competency
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow within the EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
- ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active South Carolina state licensure (SCQRSA or equivalent, as applicable)
- Experience with major MRI platforms (GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba) and PACS systems preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers are not eligible
