Role Summary

A well-established healthcare organization is seeking an MRI Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services within an outpatient setting. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to efficient imaging operations.

Key Responsibilities

MRI Imaging & Patient Care

  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication
  • Review imaging requests for accuracy and completeness prior to procedures
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any needs or concerns

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all MRI safety protocols, including patient screening and equipment safety procedures
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors within the imaging suite
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational guidelines

Systems, Equipment & Operations

  • Utilize imaging systems including PACS, RIS, and EMR for documentation and workflow management
  • Monitor MRI equipment performance and report issues as needed
  • Perform routine quality assurance tasks and coordinate maintenance or service when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and work areas
  • Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and clinical staff to support efficient imaging workflows
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental operations

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging program
  • ARRT certification required
  • MRI certification required or eligibility to obtain
  • Active state licensure as required
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Strong technical, organizational, and patient care skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of MRI experience
  • Experience in an outpatient imaging setting
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and screening protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Work Model

  • Compensation: $38.60 – $53.00 per hour ($80,288 – $110,240 annually), based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (day shift)
  • Work Model: Onsite (outpatient imaging setting)
