The MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans in a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety.
This role requires strong technical expertise with Client MRI scanners, the ability to work in a high-acuity environment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Imaging
• Perform MRI scans and imaging procedures
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Select appropriate imaging parameters
Equipment & Technology
• Operate Client MRI scanners (Required)
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Report equipment malfunctions
Patient Care & Safety
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Follow MRI safety and infection control protocols
Team Collaboration
• Work with radiologists and clinical teams
• Support workflow and patient coordination
• Maintain professional communication
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Follow EMR documentation protocols
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (AHA – Required)
• Client MRI Scanner experience (Mandatory)
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center
• Willingness to obtain New York State License
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in high-acuity hospital environments
• Strong technical and imaging skills
• Experience with advanced MRI procedures
