Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Missoula, MT

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in a short-term acute care Level II Trauma facility. The MRI Tech will perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment with advanced imaging technology and a supportive clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications and safety concerns.
- Operate MRI equipment and ensure diagnostic image quality.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care.
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
- Assist with maintaining MRI equipment and reporting technical issues when necessary.
Requirements
- Active MRI Technologist certification/license required.
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
- Previous MRI Tech experience in an acute care or trauma setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety procedures and imaging protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- First-time travelers accepted.
Schedule & Additional Information
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Schedule Rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off every other weekend day shift with another MRI Tech
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Floating Requirement: None
- Expected Ratio: Approximately 1 patient per hour
- 48 Hours Approved: No
