Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY
Job Type: Short-Term Contract
Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week

Shift Schedule:
• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious MRI Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong MRI expertise, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to established imaging protocols
• Utilize technical judgment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Review MRI safety questionnaires prior to patient entry into the scan area
• Educate patients regarding procedures, positioning, and safety requirements
• Ensure strict compliance with MRI Zone IV safety guidelines
• Label and transmit images accurately to PACS systems
• Maintain accurate patient tracking and exam documentation
• Enter scheduling and examination information into radiology information systems
• Monitor and restock department supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging areas
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns promptly
• Follow all departmental, regulatory, and patient safety standards

Requirements:

• Valid New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active ARRT (MRI) Certification
• Active BCLS Certification
• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program
• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, physiology, and imaging procedures
• Excellent organizational and clinical workflow skills
• Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing)
• Two years of MRI experience preferred
