Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday 11am -7pm Saturday 8am -4pm
Hourly rate: $71/ hour on W2 Negotiable Role Summary & Primary Responsibilities
Procedure Execution: Operates specialized MRI equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic magnetic imaging procedures in accordance with written protocols.
Patient Care & Screening: Positions patients and specialized coils for optimal imaging; educates patients on procedures; reviews safety questionnaires to screen for ferromagnetic hazards prior to scan room entry.
Image Management & EMR: Reviews images for technical quality; labels and transmits studies to PACS; completes exam tracking and scheduling in IDX (Radiology Information System); scans patient documents.
Room & Equipment Maintenance: Maintains room/equipment cleanliness and infection control; stocks necessary supplies; reports equipment defects or unsafe conditions immediately to leadership.
Clinical & Operational Support: Assists physicians directly during procedures, coordinates inpatient transport call-outs, and handles administrative/clerical tasks as needed.

Shifts: Tuesday through Friday (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and Saturday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical Knowledge: Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
Compliance & Licensure: Active, good-standing professional license in accordance with Public Health Code standards.
Preferred Experience
Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
