Job Description
Specialize in magnetic resonance imaging scanners. They inject patients with contrast media such as a dye so that the images will show up on the scanner. The scanners use magnetic fields in combination with the contrast agent to produce images that a physician can use to diagnose medical problems.
Additional Job Description
Education Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Work Experience 1 year of Radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association SCRQSA. Current American Heart Association AHA Basic Life Support BLS certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
