The Opportunity
A busy outpatient imaging department in Syracuse, NY is adding a full-time MRI Technologist to its team. You'll perform a high volume of MRI procedures in a structured Monday–Friday schedule, contributing directly to diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes. New graduates are welcome — this role is built to support both early-career imaging professionals and experienced techs ready for a quality-focused environment.

Your Day-to-Day
- Perform diagnostic-quality MRI procedures following physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for exams, maintaining comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout
- Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety prior to each procedure
- Review and verify imaging requests for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any needs that arise
- Operate and navigate PACS, RIS, and EMR systems as part of routine workflow
- Perform quality assurance checks on MRI equipment and report any performance issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and the MRI suite
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and imaging staff to keep patient flow running smoothly
- Adhere to all applicable safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
What We're Looking For
Required
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related imaging program
- Active ARRT certification
- MRI certification, or eligibility to obtain based on role requirements
- Active state licensure as required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred
- 1–2+ years of MRI experience
- Prior experience in an outpatient imaging setting
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient screening protocols
