Location: New York, NY

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 3 Days/Week | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 24 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $1,520 to 1,620/Week

Position Overview:

We are seeking an MRI Technologist for an exciting Part-Time opportunity in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, producing diagnostic-quality images, and supporting exceptional patient care in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.

  • Position patients and MRI coils to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Educate patients on MRI procedures and provide clear pre-examination instructions.

  • Screen patients for MRI safety and review all MRI safety questionnaires prior to scanning.

  • Evaluate image quality, ensure proper labeling, and transmit studies to PACS in a timely manner.

  • Complete imaging documentation and maintain accurate records within the Radiology Information System (IDX).

  • Assist physicians during MRI procedures and coordinate patient scheduling as needed.

  • Maintain MRI equipment, supplies, and a clean, safe imaging environment.

  • Adhere to MRI safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.

  • Participate in continuing education, maintain required licensure, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRCERT/AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program required.

  • Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required.

  • 2 years of MRI experience required.
  • New York State Diagnostic Radiology License required.

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.

  • ARRT MRI Registry required.

  • Current BCLS Certification required.

  • Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.

  • Excellent technical, communication, and patient care skills.
