Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem MRI Technologist to our Team!Shift: 1st & 2nd shift combinationSchedule: 6:30 am - 9:00 pm (8-hour shifts within this timeframe)Hours per week: Varied - Per DiemBenefits Status: Not EligibleDepartment: MRIThe MRI Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician.Performs diagnostic radiographic servicesOperates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriateSelects and/or calculates technical factorsApplies principles of magnetic safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and othersEvaluates radiography for technical qualityAssumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during proceduresAdministers or assists with administration of contrast media, as requiredEnsures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, film usage, quality improvement, etc.Performs quality control checks are requiredMaintains accurate patient records and files with confidentialityProvides input for equipment and supply decisionsDetects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement programPerforms clerical and scheduling functionsPursues continuing educationAssumes responsibility for inventory and stocking of suppliesJOB REQUIREMENTSGraduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyARRT registration in RadiologyMRI certification within 18 months of hire or transferCPR certification within 90 daysSelf-motived and able to be flexibleAbility to function independently and to problem solveGood written and oral communication skills and excellent patient interaction skillsMust adhere to established health system and Medical Imaging department policies, rules and regulationsMaintains ethical conduct and keeps confidential personal and medical information about patientsReporting Relationship: Director of Medical Imaging.
