As theMRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Ensures effective communication with customers, including radiologists, as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
Produces high quality diagnostic images.
Orders supply, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
Registered with ARRT.
State license, if applicable.
BLS Certification
Technologists registered in other modalities — 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
MR registered technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT — No experience required.
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and multitasking skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Preferred:
Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience
Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
