Job Description:

Shift: Saturday-Sunday 6am-6pm

Sign On Bonus: $5,000 for eligible applicants

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.

• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.

• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.

• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.

• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.

• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.

• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR and PACS systems.

• Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.

• Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies.

• Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.

• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT [Required] OR Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist RT(MR(ARRT [Required] AND

• Basic Life Support (BLS [Required]

Pay Range:

$28.68 - $53.35
