Join a premier outpatient imaging team where clinical precision meets high-standard patient care. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform a versatile range of routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring every scan is of the highest diagnostic quality. This role is designed for a professional who exercises exceptional clinical judgment, prioritizes patient safety, and thrives in a collaborative environment. From patient preparation and equipment stewardship to assisting Radiologists, you will be the primary driver of excellence in your assigned area, contributing to the success of an award-winning diagnostic department.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality routine and special MRI procedures with technical accuracy and professional judgment.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, explain scanning protocols, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the examination.
Equipment Stewardship: Prepare, operate, and maintain specialized MRI equipment; perform quality assurance checks to ensure optimal performance.
Safety Protocols: Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety standards, including Level 2 safety certification, to protect patients and staff.
Interdisciplinary Support: Assist Radiologists during procedures and collaborate with the team to meet established standards of care.
Service Excellence: Actively participate in facility-wide customer service programs and professional development initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
Licensure: CurrentNew York State (N.Y.S.) License required.
Certification: * Current certification by the ARRT or ARMRIT.
Must obtain ARRT MR certification within one year of hire date.
Safety: MRI Safety Certification Level 2 (required annually).
Basic Life Support: Current BLS (AHA) required (or must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Technical Skills:IV Certification is preferred (or must be completed by the end of a 6-month orientation).
Professional Commitment: Demonstrated history of clinical longevity and dedication to permanent outpatient roles.
Education: Commitment to maintaining 24 ECE credits over a two-year period to meet governing body standards.

Schedule: * Monday & Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
