Job Title: MRO Inventory Controller

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Salary: $60k-$80k + performance bonus

Summary

The MRO Inventory Controller oversees operations for a critical spare parts management program at a high-volume client manufacturing facility. This position demands hands-on expertise in supply chain logistics, inventory control, team leadership, and customer-facing operations. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in warehouse management, shipping and receiving processes, and working with technical products and components. A commitment to service excellence, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily on-site operations to ensure seamless execution and achievement of program goals.
  • Supervise core activities including warehousing, shipping and receiving, production support, and inventory management.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and effective control processes to minimize obsolescence and ensure availability.
  • Manage project deliverables, timelines, work quality, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability and efficient inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Participate in regular meetings with internal teams and clients to review KPIs, address issues, and align on program objectives and performance targets.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as the primary escalation point for site-related concerns.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and resolution of operational and supply chain challenges.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics (KPIs), monitor service levels, and drive initiatives that improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, especially when handling specialized or technical equipment.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) to optimize processes and reduce waste.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, material flow, shipping/receiving, and cycle counting methodologies.
  • Experience with technical or mission-critical spare parts (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or maintenance environments) is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with systems such as ERP, WMS, or CMMS.
  • Strong client-facing abilities, including managing escalations and representing the organization with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with supply chain reporting tools and systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift operating experience is a plus.
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
