Job Title: Assistant Middle School Football Coach

Location: Soap Lake High School

Reports To: Head Football Coach/Athletic Director

Job Description:

Soap Lake Middle School is seeking a dedicated and responsible Assistant Football Coach to support the Middle School Head Coach in all aspects of the football program. This position helps promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development in a safe and positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Middle School Head Coach with planning and running practices
• Supervise student-athletes at games, practices, and team events
• Help teach football skills, rules, and strategies
• Encourage academic success and good behavior among players
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment
• Support team goals and school policies
• Attend coaches' meetings and training as required

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of football rules and coaching techniques
• Positive role model for high school athletes
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
• CPR/First Aid and WIAA coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule:

• Fall season (with some pre-season and off-season activities)

This position is not benefit eligible unless 630 hours is anticipated/reached in the school year
