Minimum Time
Summer Members serve a minimum of 300 hours or on average 35-40 hours per week.
Learning mentors are paired with specific students and for each student in their portfolio will facilitate up to five 60-minute small-group skill-building sessions per week in addition to up to two 30-minute 1-on-1 support sessions per day.
LMs will create and maintain a Learning Engagement Plan for each student in their portfolio. LMs will compile and track student data including goals, progress, and skill attainment. The LEP will include observational data from members site staff and from student input. LMs will use data from LEPs to plan future session activities based on skill and concept sequencing.
Members are required to participate in pre-service and on-going training sessions and days of service throughout their year of service.
