This role focuses on platform governance, security, capacity management, and operational stability rather than report or dashboard development. The ideal candidate has experience managing large-scale BI platforms, implementing governance standards, optimizing performance, and supporting enterprise analytics initiatives across business and technology teams.

Job Description:

  • Serve as the primary administrator and technical owner of the enterprise analytics platform environment.
  • Manage tenant configuration, capacity allocation, licensing models, and platform policies to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Monitor system usage, refresh workloads, and performance metrics to optimize capacity utilization and platform efficiency.
  • Support Dev/Test/Prod environment strategies and ensure platform stability across deployment stages.
  • Design and implement governance standards including workspace architecture, lifecycle management, dataset ownership, sharing protocols, and certification processes.
  • Define and enforce best practices for workspace provisioning, content promotion, and distribution controls.
  • Configure and maintain tenant-level security settings, implement role-based access controls, and manage permissions across workspaces and datasets.
  • Partner with security and infrastructure teams to support audit, compliance, and access monitoring requirements.
  • Troubleshoot service issues, support incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and maintain platform health metrics.
  • Guide teams on deployment strategies, release processes, and scalable architecture design.
  • Support capacity planning initiatives and recommend improvements to optimize enterprise performance.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripting and APIs where appropriate to improve governance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to analytics, BI, and data teams while supporting user onboarding and adoption initiatives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent progressive technical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Business Intelligence platforms.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale data visualization or analytics service environments.
  • Strong expertise in tenant configuration, workspace management, capacity management, licensing administration, and platform monitoring.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks, lifecycle standards, and enterprise BI best practices.
  • Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), security models, and audit/compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing data connectivity components and secure gateway configurations.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting platform performance issues and optimizing refresh workloads.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, REST APIs, or similar tools (preferred).
  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics or data platform services and identity integrations (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across infrastructure, security, engineering, and business teams.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment.
