The School District of Belleville is seeking a full-time special education teacher at the middle/secondary level for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will work with students with disabilities in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate would be dynamic, creative, motivated, and passionate about teaching students who have very individualized needs. The District provides mentoring support, high-quality professional development and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and administration as a collaborative team.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

  • Successfully case-managed the needs of students with disabilities (approximately 10-14 students)
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including but not limited to: parents, community resources, related service providers, and administration
  • Design and implement instruction aligned with the Essential Elements
  • Instruct students in small groups and individually
  • Use assistive technology to support students'' academic growth and performance
  • Work collaboratively to differentiate curriculum, assessment, and instruction
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students
  • Successfully communicate with all parties involved in a student's support team
  • Manage the time and activities of paraprofessionals

Candidates should have a cross-categorical special education license (1801) or equivalent license through the Wisconsin DPI.
