Job Purpose:

  • The Youth & Family Tree provides services to at-risk youth, ages 12-24, who are experiencing substance abuse and/or generational trauma. This program extends individual trauma treatment to parents and caregivers of the child. The MA/MS Licensed Therapist will develop comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments clinically responsive to age-appropriate patient/family needs and concerns commensurate with knowledge in the substance abuse/mental health field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate consumers' medical or physical condition and to assess needs.
  • Provide documentation of clinical and case management services in accordance with department standards.
  • Participate with the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing clinical treatment plans for consumers. Serve as consumer advocate for needs within the community.
  • The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance
  • Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and regulations

Required Education:

  • Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, Counselor Education, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other relevant Human Service Field required
  • Licensure required as Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist valid in FL

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a therapeutic setting, preferably working with clients with mental health disorders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Experience in conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in mental health counseling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and basic computer skills.
